As Chief Innovation Officer and supervisory board member, Marcel ensures Productsup stays ahead of the latest market trends, identifies innovative new stakeholders to work with, and manages analyst relations. He is an active thought leader in the commerce and tech space, frequently interviewing with media and appearing on podcasts. Marcel is particularly interested in the developments around Web3 and the metaverse and their impact on commerce.
Marcel joined Productsup’s founding team in 2012, and built multiple units within the company, such as Pre-Sales, BDR, and Marketing, as well as the Product Content Syndication line of business.
A serial entrepreneur, he also co-founded hiClip, NativeAds (acquired by Ströer), and Cavalry Ventures. Marcel was an early evangelist of the importance and impact of high-quality, contextualized product data. His expertise in commerce and ad-tech and his background as a developer give him an intuitive understanding of consumer behavior in the digital commerce space.
