ETIM explained: Technical product data exchange made simple
As a global manufacturer or distributor, how do you ensure your partners have all of the necessary technical and transactional information to comply with local regulations and sell effectively? You rely on international standards like ETIM.
The ETIM classification standard is the most widely used standard for classifying technical products worldwide. It is used by manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, contractors, distributors, and wholesalers in the electrical, HVAC, plumbing, building, sanitary, and other related industrial sectors.
To provide you with a better understanding of the standard and its value, this webinar brings together ETIM North America Executive Director Mary Shaw and our in-house ETIM expert Frédéric Deplanque.
You will learn:
- How ETIM International (and ETIM North America) support industrial manufacturing
- An overview of ETIM-related data exchanges, including the new ETIM xChange
- The difference between a direct exchange and exchanging via data pools/syndicators
- Best practices for adopting the ETIM classification and navigating the exchange formats
- Strategies for optimizing data syndication and the product content journey
